How to Determine Which Roof Vent Cover will Fit

Im trying to replace a broken roof vent cover 14x14 but the hinge is missing from the vent. Id rather not replace the entire vent. Where can I find a cover with both parts of the hinge?

Without knowing which actual vent was originally installed on your trailer, I am unable to identify an exact replacement for you. However, it is fairly easy to determine a replacement vent cover that will work.

To find the correct replacement cover for your vent, if the manufacturers name is listed that will help, check the following features on the current vent and match those up with the replacement vent options; size, hinge type and color.

The most common vent opening is about 14-1/4 inches square, you have identified this for your vent. Replacement lids will typically use one of three possible hinge configurations, 3-point, 4 point or continuous.

A very common type is the Ventline Old-Style Rounded Dome Trailer Roof Vents, # BV0554-03 in smoke with continuous hinge.
