Recommended ST205/75/15 Tires For 2021 Lance 1685 Travel Trailer Being Towed On Rough Gravel Roads

Question:

I recently purchased a 2021 Lance 1685 travel trailer. The stock size is ST205/75R15 and it comes with the Goodyear Endurance tires with a load range of D. I will be doing a lot of driving on gravel roads with potholes, rocks, and chips, and hence I was looking for an all-terrain option, if preferably with a snowflake symbol not an absolute requirement. I do have the all-terrain ko2s on my tow vehicle. Am I better off carrying 2 spare stock tires or should I upgrade to some all-terrain option. If so, what options do I have? Thanks

We have exactly what you are looking for.

For your 2021 Lance 1685 Travel Trailer that you will be driving on rough terrain I recommend replacing your ST205/75R15 Goodyear Endurance Tires with the Taskmaster ST205/75D15 Bias Trailer Tire - Load Range C # TTWSF20515C.

These tires are bias play which is better for off-road use due to the the direction of the plys that makes it more flexible and increases traction on rough terrain. The tread pattern is not snow rated but will be great for gravel roads.

These tires have a lower load range C rating, but this load rating is 1820lbs at 50 PSI which when multiplied by 4 since your trailer has tandem axles gives you a combined rating of 7280lbs. Since your 1685 has a GVWR of 5500lbs this is still plenty for your trailer.

I included a video of the # TTWSF20515C for you to take a look at.
