Thomas Payne Powered Theater Seating Troubleshooting
Question:
I have a Thomas Payne dual recliner with lock, light, open close footrest, massage and heat. The recliner on one side has quit working. No lights on the cup holder or open or close footrest ? Power supply has 29.7 volts output . I can remove the back but how do you manually raise the footrest to get at the screws that secure the recliner to the slide floor. This is on a 2017 Big Horn by Heartland.

The required power for Thomas Payne furniture is 110v AC or 12v DC to power these units. So you could be facing a voltage drop and need to increase the gauge of wire to the outlet you have the unit plugged into.
If you have the correct amount of power but the none of the functions are working then your control box is to blame. If you have a Seismic model you'll need the Replacement Power Control Box for Thomas Payne Seismic Recliners and Sofas - Qty 1 Item # LC36FR and if you have the Momentum model you'll need the Replacement Control Box for Thomas Payne Momentum Recliners and Sofas - Qty 1 Item # 195-387596.
The manufacturer unfortunately did not design a manual release for loss of power or in your case loss of function. For this reason they recommend not screwing their furniture to floor so you'd be able to flip it forward for any repairs. You're going to need to try to access the control box from the back and replace it to get functionality back and to open the footrest.
