What Crossbars do You Recommend to Transport 2 Kayaks on a 2006 Honda CRV?
Question:
Trying to find high quality roof racks for 2006 Honda Crv that has flush factory rails running front to back. I carry 2 kayaks about 55lbs each and need a rack to handle this. Any recommendations?

Thule has a great-quality roof rack that will fit your 2006 Honda CRV. I confirmed with Thule that the following roof rack system will work with your Honda CRV with fixed mounting points:
- Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars - Aluminum - Silver - 47" Long - Qty 2 # TH711200
- Rapid Podium Feet for Thule Crossbars - Fixed Point - Qty 4 # TH460R
- Fit Kit for Thule Podium-Style Roof Rack Feet - 3050 # THKIT3050
The 220 pound weight capacity of the above crossbar system will give you plenty of support you need to carry 2 55-pound kayaks. I went ahead and attached a video that shows the installation of the crossbar system on your vehicle.
As far as a kayak carrier for your crossbar system, I recommend the Thule Compass Kayak and SUP Carrier w/ Tie-Downs # TH890000. The Compass comes with 4 tie down straps and 2 pairs of bow/stern ties. Since the Compass has a maximum per-kayak weight capacity of 75 pounds, it has plenty of weight capacity needed for your 55-pound kayaks.
