2021 Hyundai Palisade 5-Pole Flat Wiring Harness Recommendation
Question:
My boat trailer has a five pin wiring harness that supports the reverse lockout solenoid on my hydraulic brakes. Trying to figure out what I need to appropriately wire the palisade. I see the harnesses for a four pin flat connector, but I dont believe that has the reverse wire that is needed to activate the solenoid. Any ideas?

There are a couple of different ways to do this. The first step would be to install a 4 pole trailer connector using part # CU94FR. I've linked to an installation video.
The easiest way to proceed from there would be to use an adapter like # 20036. The extra blue wire on the vehicle side would tap into the circuit feeding one of the reverse lamps using the provided quick splice connector. This isn't my favorite, as you'll have an adapter that you'll need to keep track of but if you don't tow the boat frequently, this would be the way to go.
Another option using the # CU94FR would involve cutting off the 4 pole provided by the # CU94FR and installing a 5 pole vehicle side using # C58545. You'd then run the additional blue wire to the reverse lamp circuit. I'd recommend using heat shrink butt connectors like # DW05744-5 to make the connections. If you tow the boat more frequently, this would be the option I'd choose.
