Which 5th Wheel Installation Rail Kit for 2009 Ford F-150 and SuperGlide 3300 Hitch

Question:

I have a 2009 F150, 5.5ft box. I have a super glide 3300 sliding hitch 5th wheel hitch. Im very new to all this 5th wheel stuff and anxiety filled about making the right purchase. My main fear is spending so much money and things not being compatible. Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you need some installation rails for your 2009 Ford F-150 with a 5-1/2 Foot bed, and the Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP56006-53 you were looking at are a confirmed fit for your truck. With that said, we do not offer PullRite hitches so I can't confirm whether or not the SuperGlide 3300 requires adapters for use with industry standard base rails.

I will also mention that typically, depending on the trailer, a truck with a 5-1/2 foot truck bed requires that you put a rotating pin box on your trailer instead of using a sliding hitch. This might be something you'll need to consider when picking a trailer if you don't already have one. I've linked some helpful articles on 5th wheel towing that you might find helpful but we're more than happy to help our neighbors who are new to towing feel more comfortable with the task.
