Replacement Trailer Brake Assemblies For a 2011 Forest River Sierra 5TH Wheel Camper
Question:
Great info. Only thing is that I don’t need the hubs. Only bearings and seals. Or since I’m going with Dexter brakes do I also need to change out the hubs? Guidance once again please.

I recommend the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-458-459 for your 2011 Forest River Sierra 300RL. These will only require you to adjust the brakes to ensure they are set correctly when you install them. After that they will self adjust themselves as the brake material wears away. This will ensure your brakes last longer and will keep you out from under the trailer adjusting the brakes.
The Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K will provide you with a new hub/drum assembly. It comes complete with new bearings, races, grease seal, lug nuts and a dust cap with removable plug to allow you to access the grease zerk on your axle spindle.
I recommend using LubriMatic LMX Industrial Strength Grease # L11390 to top off the grease in the spindle. This grease is formulated to work great in high stress applications by adhering to the moving parts.
