Why Won't The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver Fit My 2010 Audi Q5?
Question:
Hello etrailer team, I would like to find a hitch for my 02 2010 Audi Q5. For some strange reason, the draw-tite part # 75940 only starts at the model year 2011 to be a confirmed fit. Can you please provide some input as to whether it may fit anyways, or if there are some slight modifications needed? Stealth hitches Item # 391AUDQ509T has a very similar installation method and starts at the Model year 2009 !? Thank you in advance.

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75940 is only confirmed to fit the 2011-2017 Audi Q5. I was unable to get any specifics as to why the hitch is not listed to fit on your 2010 Audi Q5. They instructed me that they do not currently offer any hitch options for your 2010 model year.
I did notice that on the Stealth Hitches Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ Towing Kit # 391AUDQ509T that it does have an extra bolt on each side of the receiver for mounting on your Q5.
I am not sure if there was a structural change on the 2011 and that is why the older 2009-2010 can not use the Draw-Tite. This all being said I would stay away from any hitch that is not confirmed to fit your vehicle. This could cause liability issues in the future if anything were to happen involving this product on your Q5.
