Options of Two-Stage Auto Changeover Regulator

Question:

We use LP gas only for a cook top stove burners. Recommended pressure is 11wc minimum, 14wc maximum. Run from tank to house is less than 20 feet with buried copper tubing. I assume from other questions that a dual stage regulator would provide most consistent service. Can you recommend items needed to provide proper hook-up where if one tank empties the valve would switch to neighboring tank? Thank you.

Yes, we have two options for what you are asking about, the first is the MB Sturgis High Capacity Two-Stage Auto Changeover Regulator, # 888001-MBS. This two-stage automatic changeover regulator ensures continuous gas flow, automatically changing from the exhausted service cylinder to the full reserve cylinder. This regulator will reach upwards of 500,000 Btu P/H at a pressure of 9 WC or above.

The second option is the Camco Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator for Dual Propane Tanks, # CAM59005. This propane regulator lets you connect the 2 propane tanks on your RV to maintain a constant gas pressure. It automatically switches to the full tank when the other is empty, and you can remove the empty cylinder without interrupting propane supply. Though this changeover occurs on its own, the gas gauge will need to be manually rotated to point toward the reserve tank in order to accurately indicate the backup cylinder's fuel level.
