Can Size 225/75-16 Sized Tire Chains be Used for Size 235/85-16 Tires?
Question:
I have these chains for my 225/75R16 tires and would like to keep them however I want to upsize ideally to a 235/85 R16 to aid in float and help my speedometer. Can I squeeze these on or modify them to make them work? Theyre brand new, only installed in my driveway so I dont want to let go of them.

I found an answer that will work. Unfortunately, the Konig Standard Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern # TH01571245 cannot be modified without undermining the integrity/safety of the tire chains to fit a 235/85-16 tire. However, we do sell some tire chains with that size. I recommend the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains w/ Cams # TC2821CAM. The Titan chains involve a manual installation with cam tightening for a tight, secure fit. They are also the great economic option. If you need more than a pack of two, you can order two of the sets for the whole vehicle.
