How Does Weight Capacity of RoadActive Suspension Kit Affect Towing Capacity

Question:

I have a 2017 F-350 FX4 Crew Cab Long Box SRW. My truck as equipped with options has a rated payload capacity from the factory of 4,440lbs, and a rear GAWR of 7,280lbs. I see this model of the Roadmaster active suspension states it has a weight rating of 3,000lbs. What weight does this correspond to, and if I’m am loading the truck near the factory payload, will this system be overloaded?

The capacity of the suspension enhancement kits we offer for vehicles like your 2017 Ford F-350 is basically how much additional support they can provide to help out the factory suspension of the truck. So the # RAS3611-SLHD can provide up to 3,000 lbs of additional support which will allow your factory suspension to carry the weight easier.

This does not increase the capacities of the vehicle though as it basically just gives additional support to carry the current capacity in a safer way.
