Which Roadmaster Dual Hitch Adapter For Carrying Bike Rack While Flat Towing
Question:
Which hitch would you recommend for a bike rack and towing a small car. The measurement to the bottom of the 2” receiver on the motorhome is 14 1/2” and the car we are towing is a Ford Fiesta with a falcon tow bar the measurement to the tow bar is 14 1/2” from the ground up. I was excited to see that the double hitch would solve our bike hauling dilemma but I need to know hitch would work best.

Since the receiver height and the base plate height of the vehicle is the same, you won't need to worry about keeping the tow bar level.
If your bike rack has an angled shank with a couple inches of rise to it, you could use the # RM-077-6. If the bike rack has a straight shank, you'll want a dual-hitch adapter with a larger rise such as # RM-077-8 for an 8-inch or # RM-077-10 for a 10-inch rise to move the bike rack up and out of the way.
The adapters have a tongue weight capacity of 400 lbs, so you'll want to ensure that the bikes and the rack don't weigh more than that. You'll also want to keep in mind that these adapters aren't meant for towing trailers.
