Options to Maneuver a Travel Trailer for Set-Up/Parking Without Backing

Question:

Is there any hitch product that can be mounted to the rear frame of a 24foot Keystone Cougar travel trailer that would allow the trailer to be attached to tow vehicle and then maneuvered from its rear/back end? The desired parking spot on our property for the trailer is limited and there is no pull through access. The trailer door is on passenger side of tow vehicle per norm... It would be ideal if we could tow the trailer up to parking spot entrance then disconnect and reconnect tow vehicle to a hitch mounted on the REAR of the trailer to guide it into place. In order for the trailer entry steps & windows to be on the 'Lake View' side of the trailer the tow bar must be "in". *Not to tow long distance-But just for parking it....like an airplane @ the airport-just use rear hitch arrangement to push it into place

We do have a selection of bumper mounted bolt-on hitch receivers such as the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # E-100 that fits a 4"x4" bumper and then provides for a 2" receiver; although this is not designed for the type of use you are describing.

My suggestion is to consider the Trailer Valet XL Trailer Dolly with Chain Drive with 2" Hitch Ball, # TVXL2 or if needed, 2-5/16" ball in # TVXL25. This heavy-duty dolly with integrated drive will help you maneuver your trailer into the tight fit you describe by simply connecting this to your trailer and start turning the crank, then guide the trailer with the steering handle. This also has a drill attachment option that allows you to use a cordless drill instead of cranking. Please take a look at the attached product review video to see this in use.

For a front mount, there is the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 65076.
