Draw-Tite Hitch Ground Clearance on 2012 Hyundai Accent
Question:
I am looking at buying this hitch for my 2012 Hyundai accent. With the hitch on what is the ground clearance?

Expert Reply:
With the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24884 you will have approximately 8" of clearance to the bottom of the hitch on your 2012 Hyundai Accent. Please be aware that this is an estimate as if your particular vehicle may have larger or smaller diameter tires. Also the amount of weight that is being carried inside your Accent will change your hitch height as well as aged suspensions may sag a bit due to age.
I recommend installing the Hopkins Tail Light Converter Kit # HM48925 while you are installing the hitch. This will allow you to connect to trailer lighting as well with adding additional lighting on bike racks or cargo carriers that may block the taillights on your Accent.
