Replacement Boat Trailer Tire F65-14

Question:

Looking for trailer tires for my 16ft boat trailer.... Roughly 3000lb... I bought a set of tires that are ST205/75R14 and they fit but it is a little tight around the wheel well... Is there a smaller option for this application? Boat trailer originally came with f65-14 LRC 14x6

To get back closer to your original width and diameter you would need to go with a smaller wheel and tire combination. Your f65-14 had a width of 7.4" and diameter of 24.6". The 205/75R14 that you currently have is 8" wide and 26." tall.

I recommend the Loadstar ST185/80D13 Bias Trailer Tire with 13" Galvanized Wheel # AM3S334. This combination has a width of 7.2" and diameter of 24." which is much closer to your original tires. The weight rating is 1,710lbs per tire. This will involve making sure that you can fit a smaller 13" wheel on your current hub. I went with a 5 on 4-1/2" wheel pattern as it is the more common of the sizes and the aluminum wheel is great for boat trailers as it will not corrode as easily as steel wheels. If you have a different size hub let me know and I can help you with that.
