Does One Mirror Pane on K-Source S62147-48G Extendable Towing Mirrors Provide Wide-Angle View

Question:

I have a 2014 Silverado 1500 crew cab 6.5’ bed and pulling a 28’ travel trailer. My inlaws purchased me the Longview mirror extensions and to me, it’s difficult to see anything through the add on mirror as it seems magnified and hard to get a good overall view of the trailer, tire placement, etc. Regarding the K-Source mirrors- does one of them function as a regular mirror and the other provide a better perspective like the small convex mirrors you can stick on? I’ve read someone’s review that the mirrors do push out far enough to see around their 8’+ trailer but want to make sure I can actually see something back there. Any insight and help iss appreciated

Great question!

The # KS62147-48G K-Source Extendable Replacement towing mirrors include both the passenger and driver's side mirrors. Each mirror features 2 panes of glass. On this particular model, the top pane of glass is flat and is power adjustable, the bottom spotter mirror is convex for a wide-angle view and is manually adjustable. Between the 2 panes on each mirror, you'll have no difficulty seeing what's going on behind or next to you. If you look through the product reviews we've received you'll see comments from folks that have 30 foot + long trailers who found the mirrors worked very well for them.

I'm confident that these mirrors would work great for you. If you click the provided link, you can see these mirrors being installed on a 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500.
