Expert Reply:
Yes, you can tow your jet ski trailer with your 2016 Audi A3; I checked the owner's manual and it is safe to tow your jet ski trailer with this vehicle. I do recommend checking your manual to verify the load limits, however. In order to tow there are a number of parts you will need, and I will list them below.
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11399
- Curt Drawbar for 1-1/4" Hitches # C45520
- 2" Hitch Ball # C40018 or 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # C40001
- Curt Hitch Pin and Clip # F-4
- ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT
The hitch has a 2,000 lb towing and 200 lb tongue weight capacity which you'll want to keep in mind, and the correct size hitch ball will simply depend on the size of your trailer's coupler. Otherwise, these are the exact parts you will need to use to tow your jet ski so you can enjoy some time on the water.
