Electric Jack Wont Clear Tailgate on Truck.
Question:
Hi There, This jack works great, however, I cannot open my trucks tail gate, and I have seen rotate them 90 degrees, and they work fine, but I have not been able to figure out, how to rotate this one. Is this possible? If so, coul you please send me some instructions? Thank you in advance

Your Electric Jack # EJ-3520-BBX would be difficult to turn the 90 degrees that you are looking for. The mounting flange only has the 3 outward tabs which means you would have to either turn the jack 120 degrees or drill new holes into your mounting flange on your trailer.
The Bulldog Powered Drive Trailer Jack # BD500187 comes with a round mounting plate that has provisions for multiple mounting patterns such as the 90 degrees that you are looking for. This would be the easiest way to get to the 90 degrees turn and explains why you sometimes see jacks like that.
Another option to consider is a longer Ball Mount # BM20 or Weight Distribution Shank # EQ90-02-4500. This would move your ball farther from your truck and give you the clearance for your tailgate. I recommend measuring the length of your current shank vs what you need to allow clearance for your tailgate. This may prove to be the better option for you as you will gain space and not lose your work light the jack provides.
