Blinkers on Travel Trailer Not Bright When Running Lights Are On
Question:
Hello, I recently installed STL68RB on my camper trailer. My tow vehicle is a 2004 Ford F350. Im connecting to the vehicle with a 7 pin connector. Im having an issue with the blinkers when the running lights are on. If the running lights are off the blinkers work fine. They are bright and visible and they flash at normal pace. However, if I turn my running lights on the blinkers are still working but are barely visible. They cycle at normal pace. If you can provide any guidance it would be much appreciated. Thank you

I would first ensure that the connections are correct in your wiring. If your running lights and turn signals/ brake are reversed this could cause the issue that you are having. The black wire on the Taillight # STL68RB should connect to your running lights on the trailer, this is usually the brown wire. The red wire from the taillights connects to the turn/brake wire which are generally yellow and green on the trailer.
If that is right next I would check the ground connections as they could be loose or not have good contact causing not enough continuity for the light. Ensure to check all the grounds at the lights, the 7-way on the trailer, the truck and inside the 7-way. I recommend using a Circuit Tester # PTW2991.
Hopefully this has resolved your issues but if not below there is a link to trailer wiring and you can always reach back out to me with what you have done and if it improved.
