For replacement electric trailer brakes for your 16' utility trailer with 5200-6000lb axles I recommend the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 12" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 5.2K to 7K # AKEBRK-7-SA due to them being self-adjusting meaning once you have them installed you will not need periodic adjustments like you would with standard brakes.
If your mounting hardware is in need of replacing I recommend the # BRKH12.
Moving on to new 7-way wiring I recommend the Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit w/ Junction Box and RV Style Connector # HS381-9000 which will give you the new 7-way connector you need, and a junction box to make all of your wiring connections.
For wire to run from your new trailer brakes to the junction box you would want # 12-2-1.
