What Tools are Needed to Install Firestone Coil-Rite Suspension on a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe
Question:
Hello, I would like to purchase the Firestone spring assist bags for this vehicle. I see the advice from Michael for the 2012. Has this application changed for installation on my 2013? Michael states that the coils need not be removed. I am wondering if any special tools are necessary to complete this installation.

If you look at the isntructions I have linked for the Firestone kit # F4170 you can see what tools you will need. First, you will need a jack to jack up the vehicle, jack stands to rest the frame of the vehicle on, and wheel chocks to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
You will also need a drill and a 7/16 drill bit. A tubing cutter is also recommended, # AL10530, because the air lines must be cut as straight as possible.
You can push in the air bag by hand or by using a blunt tool such as the handle end of a mallet. Just do not use anything with sharp edges. To tighten the fittings into place a set of wrenches is all you need or even a crescent wrench.
