7-Way Plug and Lead that Uses Traditional Wiring Color Scheme
Question:
Hey, I have a question about trailer wiring colors. Im a service advisor at a garage. Were mostly lightly duty automotive, but we do work equipment and utility trailers often enough. Ive been getting the techs pre-assembled harnesses 8ft of 7-wire with a trailer side connector, but they come wired in the RV style RED left, BRN right, GRN tail. Almost all the trailers weve seen are wired in the traditional style YLW left, GRN right, BRN tail. I tried looking for pre-assembled harnesses that use traditional wiring, but if the listings mention it at all, its the RV style. Do you have any advice? My goals are to avoid replacing a brand new connector and to keep the trailer wiring consistent. Thanks.
