Ford does list some specific guidelines for tire chain usage in your owner's manual. They provide a list of 5 different tire sized, and state that if the vehicle has any of those tire sizes chains aren't recommended. The 245/70-17 size is NOT on that list. Ford goes on to say that if chains are used, they must be Class S rated, which means they offer plenty of clearance to the wheel well and to the inside of the wheel.

The # TC2828CAM is the incorrect size for your tires, but Titan does offer a comparable chain that will fit, part # TC3810CAM, but they are not Class S rated, so although they'd provide excellent traction in ice and deep snow, they could potentially damage suspension and brake components to the inside of your wheels including important items like brake lines and parts of the ABS system.

I'd recommend going with the Titan Diamond Pattern Alloy Chains, part # TC2323 which IS Class S rated. The diamond pattern covers more of the tire which insures part of the chain is always in contact with the road which offers better traction in banked turns. The smaller chain links also offer a smoother ride.

The chains feature an integrated tensioner, but you can always use the optional elastic or rubber tensioners as well to ensure a snug fit. I'd recommend using # TCMA2.

I've linked to a product demonstration video featuring the chains I recommended.
