Wiring Harness Recommendation for the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885
Question:
I have a 2011 Mercedes Benz Sprinter Crew Van with no installed brake controller system. I have the brake controller Tekonsha P2 #90885 without the harness that connects from the brake controller to the brake light switch located at the vehicle brake pedal. I was able to keep the Tekonsha P2 controller unit when I traded my 2008 Toyota Tacoma. Do you have the universal wire harness? I dont seem to see this harness in your parts catalog. Your attention is very much appreciated.

The wiring harness that you will need for your Tekonsha P2 brake controller is the Pigtail Wiring Harness, # 7894. This harness will plug into the port at the back of the P2 brake controller and has 4 blunt cut wires that will hard wire to the vehicle.
If your 2011 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter does not have a 7-way trailer connector, then I would also recommend also picking up the installation kit, # ETBC7. This will give you a 7-way and 4-way connector and it also includes all of the necessary wiring and hardware to complete your brake controller set up.
I have included a link to the # ETBC7 installation guide for you to review. You should find this helpful when installing your brake controller on your vehicle.
If your vehicle already has a 7-way connector installed, you would just need the brake controller installation kit, # 5506. This kit includes the additional wires and hardware to complete the installation.
I have attached a brake controller installation video on a similar vehicle for you to check out. The vehicle in the video is different from your vehicle, but the installation process will be similar. This video should give you a good idea on what is involved for the installation.
