The hitch weight listed for a trailer by the manufacturer is the dry weight meaning what the trailer weighs without any contents. Once loaded up and ready to tow this will increase the hitch weight by a variable amount which needs to be taken into consideration when picking out a weight distribution system. For a trailer with 800 lb hitch weight, a 1,000 lb system would be ideal and for this I recommend the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System part # C17500 which has four point sway control, a pre-torqued hitch ball, and is very cost effective when compared to other similar systems.
