In order to add trailer wiring to your 2002 Nissan Frontier without the tow package I recommend using the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118362. This will give you a 4 way wiring harness to tow a small trailer without brakes on your Frontier and Tekonsha harnesses are extremely reliable over time. This harness installs easily by teeing into your vehicle lights and there isn't anything that needs to be hard wired like the last harness, so there's nothing to worry about when it comes to installation.
I've linked a short review video of this harness, as well as a link to all of our available ball mount kits in case you don't have a ball mount, hitch ball, hitch pin and clip to give you a complete towing package.
