Recommended 7 Way Trailer Connector and Brake Controller for my 2017 Ford Explorer
Question:
Hello, I have a 2017 Ford Explorer without the factory tow package. I am thinking of installing the Curt 7-way T-connector #C56306 to hook up a small camper. Will that connector supply power to charge the camper battery without without additional wiring? Also, what additional wiring parts would be needed if I decide to install a trailer brake controller? Thank you.

The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector part # C56306 is designed to give you a fully working 7-way connector including the 12 volt power.
To add a brake controller like the Curt TriFlex Trailer Brake Controller part # C24VV you will use the Curt Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers part # C51322.
