Comparing the Hopkins Flat-Tow and Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2013 Jeep JLU
Question:
I am setting up my 2013 Jeep Wrangler to flat to behind our RV and at times I will have a motorcycle carrier on back that will partially block the Jeep’s taillights. I am adding taillights to the carrier that will be driven off the 4 pin trailer connector on the Jeep’s tow package. Will the HM56200 feed power to the 4 pin trailer connector while being towed behind the RV? Thanks in advance,

The Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles part # HM56200 is designed to take an input signal from the motorhome and apply that signal to the vehicle's taillights. The towed vehicle does not have to be running for this signal to be active. The Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness part # HM42635 on the other hand is designed to take an input from the vehicle and apply that signal to the trailer's taillights. The tow vehicle does need to be running for these signals to be active. They can both be plugged-in at the same time without issue.
I hope this helps but if not let me know.
