Best Hitch for 2010 Subaru Forester
Question:
Will the C13900 fit a 2010 Forester? If not are there any other multifits that will or is it limited to just a custom model?

I have hitch options that will fit your vehicle, but the Curt Multi Fit Hitch # C13900 is not a verified fit on any Subaru models. The best hitch for your 2010 Subaru Forester is a custom fit hitch as they are built with the unique Subaru frame in mind. I attached our selection of hitches that fit your vehicle.
For your Class III hitches, you have two options: The Curt Round-Tube # 13147 or the Draw-Tite Square-Tube # 75650.
They both will take about 40 minutes to install and have the same towing weight capacity. The Draw-Tite # 75650 has a higher tongue weight capacity of 600 lbs compared to the Curt's 400 lbs which means it can carry heavier bike racks and cargo carriers. It is also recommended by Curt to use stabilizing straps like # 18050 with non-trailer loads like bike racks if you're using this hitch # 13147.
If I had to choose between the two for your 2010 Subaru Forester, I prefer the Draw-Tite # 75650 for its higher tongue weight capacity, its sturdy square-tube design, and the fact that I won't need to use stabilizing straps with this hitch. I attached a video of its install process if you want to see it in action.
