Will Custom-Fit ATV Winch Mount Kit, part # BDW15114, Withstand 2,000 Pound Winch Pull
Question:
I am seriously considering this winch kit for my 2012 Honda Rancher 4x4. After watching the install video and taking a look at the front bumper, I was curious if that mounting location is secure enough for the full load capacity of the winch?

The steel hardware components included in the Custom-Fit ATV Winch Mounting Kit, part # BDW15114, in addition to providing a mounting location for the LT2000 winch (part # 1120210), also add enough additional steel material to the mounting area on the front of the Rancher frame to reinforce it adequately for the full 2000 pound line pull rating of this winch.
My contact at Superwinch confirms that this winch mounting kit hardware provides enough reinforcement to the frame to allow use of a winch with as much as 3,500 pound line pull capacity, However, it is still always advisable to check with the vehicle manufacturer to confirm that your application is within the ATV specifications.
