Recommended Gooseneck Hitch For 2007 Lincoln Mark LT and 2004 Ford F-250 Diesel

Question:

I have a 2007 Lincoln Mark LT which is pretty much the same as a 4 wheel drive Ford F-150. I was looking at adding the Curt 60722 but it appears this may not fit my truck. If that is the case, do you have a recommendation for my truck? The bed is the short bed if that becomes a factor. I also have a friend with a 2004 F-250 diesel looking to add a gooseneck hitch. Will the above fit his truck? He has a longer bed and we may just use his truck if we have trouble fitting a hitch to mine. Thanks you,

The two vehicles are similar but not identical. There is not a confirmed fit for a gooseneck or even 5th wheel custom brackets with rails confirmed to fit your vehicle from any of our manufacturers. My recommendation for you because of this is to use the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 10 Bolt # RP30035. Then you can use the Curt Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Fifth Wheel Rails - 3" Offset - 25,000 lbs # 16055. This will connect the gooseneck ball to the frame of your truck. Because you have the short bed, the 3 inch offset will help but you may also need a gooseneck adapter like the B&W Extend-A-Goose Gooseneck Coupler - 2-5/16" Ball - 10" Offset - 24,000 lbs # BWTEXA4200 to give you turning clearance.

For your friend with the 2004 F-250 Diesel, I recommend the Curt Double Lock, Flip and Store Underbed Gooseneck Hitch w/ Installation Kit - 30,000 lbs # C60720. This is similar to the product you asked from but is the correct fit for that model. Because this truck is a custom fit and doesn't require any adjustments, it is my recommendation to use this truck if your decide to choose between them.
