Fifth Wheel Hitch and Towing Capacity for 2008 Chevy Silverado Short Bed
Question:
So payload capacity is different from pin weight capacity since the payload is the capacity of the truck bed which is made of sheet metal and the pin weight basically is carried on the truck frame instead and bypasses the sheet metal altogether. When in doubt you can always check with a Chevy dealer. Let me know the length of your truck bed and I can help you pick out a hitch and rail kit when the time is right as well.
