Roof Rack and Bike Rack for 2019 Honda Civic

Question:

Hello, Currently in the market for a roof bike rack system. Looking for a quality system that could be traveled long distances as well as something that will not damage vehicle, most likely it will be removed during winter months. Vehicle is a 2019 civic hatchback with sunroof, no existing equipment on the vehicle. Here is what I am considering, would this system satisfy my requirements or is there a better option? It is a little more than I was looking to spend but I do not want an inferior product. Could I also get a quote if possible. Thanks so much for your assistance!

Yes! The Inno Roof Rack Fit Kit for 2019 Honda Civic # INXB108-2, # INXS200, and # INK684 is a great roof rack. Even if you did not link it in your question, this would have been my first suggestion for how it meets your specific needs: not damaging for the car, good for long distances, durable, and cost-effective.

The clamps # INK684 are fitted for each specific vehicle model so, if installed correctly, will fit into the grooves in a way that will NOT damage your car. I often purposely SLAM the doors on them after they're installed just to prove my point.

The Aero Crossbars # INXB108-2 this kit comes with is ideal for long distances. With square or round bars, the common complaint is that they can be very noisy on the highway and that they drastically reduce gas mileage. The Aero Bars really shine during long trips since they're designed to divert the wind without adding an extra fairing, making your long drive quieter and more fuel efficient compared to other bars.

I personally have installed this on cars and the install process wasn't too bad after I understood what all the parts were for. I attached a video to help you out with the process. It's also easy to remove, you just unlock, untighten, and lift it up and away. I do recommend a second pair of hands during removal, simply to keep the clamps from swinging towards your car while you lift the bar up on the other side.

For the bike rack, what do you think about going full Inno? You asked about a fork mount bike rack and the Inno Multi Fork is a great option. It's made of aluminum so it's light and sturdy, it has a bike and rack lock, AND it matches your roof rack perfectly.

The Yakima HighSpeed # Y02115 is also a reliable bike rack. While it doesn't have included locks, its advantages are that it can accommodate a larger variety of bikes like fat bikes or bikes with 12mm forks. I attached videos of both bike racks so you can see them in action.

As for a quote, all the latest prices are posted on the product pages, but I know that the full Inno system is a great choice for cost-effectiveness.
