Which Hubs/Drum Assembly and Brakes for Timbren Axle-Less Suspension 3500-lbs with 4 Lift

Question:

I may have a solution for you, but there is not a 5 on 5" bolt pattern hub and drum that is going to be compatible with the Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - 4" Lift Spindle - Wide Tires - 2,000 lbs # ASR2KHDS03. In order to use your 5 on 5" wheels you would need to get an adapter, which can usually be found via an off-road or auto parts retailer. For a hub and drum assembly that will fit on your Timbren Axle-Less system you can use the Trailer Hub and Drum # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K, which has the # 25580 and # 15123 bearings that will fit on the spindles of the Timbren system. This is a pre-greased axle, so it's ready to install right out of the box and has a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern. This hub/drum is 12" in diameter. For the brakes, you'll want to use something like the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 12" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 5.2K to 7K # AKEBRK-7-SA. These are a self adjusting brake assembly that won't require any adjustments once they're installed, so they're a great choice if you're looking for consistent stopping power over time with minimal maintenance. In order to install these brakes you will need brake mounting hardware, since it's not included. You can use part # BRKH12 for that purpose. I've linked some video reviews on these parts for you to have a look at, as well .

Yes. You could use the Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - 4" Lift Spindle - Regular Tires - 2,000 lbs # ASR2KHDS04 with the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 3,500-lb Axles - 10" Diameter - 5 on 5 - Pre-Greased # AKHD-550-35-K. These hubs do have a 5 on 5 bolt pattern, so you'll be able to use the wheels you were wanting to use. If you need brakes for these hubs, the # AKEBRK-35-SA are a great choice since they're self adjusting and will be easy to install. You'll need # BRKH10B to complete the installation since these brakes do not come with mounting hardware.
