Are Load Range C ST205/75-14 Tires Enough for 5,000 lb Dual Axle Boat Trailer

Question:

Quickly wanted to confirm this tire would be a suitable replacement for stock tires cheap that came on my dual axle boat trailer. What came on my Vanguard trailer were a set of Qind QD-719 ST205 75 D14s. I believe this is a C rated tire? My boat/trailer weight is right around 5,000 lbs. Would a set of these Contenders be enough to handle my weight, or should I look at a set of higher rated Ds?

A set of four of the load range C Provider ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire # TR20514 will absolutely be enough capacity for a 5,000 lb dual axle boat trailer.

These tires have a 1,760 lb capacity per tire so four of them would be plenty to handle the 5,000 lbs of your boat and trailer, with room to spare. This is a really good tire with a deep 7.8/32" tread depth for excellent grip so you've made a good choice.

I have added a link to a video review for you to check out as well of the Provider ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire # TR20514.
