Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver Compatible with 2020 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
I am interested in the Item # DT73RR hitch for my 2020 Subaru wagon. it is the 2.7 CVT Premium edition. I need to get a hitch for an electric carrier for my wifes scooter. The dealer says they can install one that is a 270 pound carrying capacity but this Draw Tight seems easy enough to install and says 675 pounds. Is this possible or is the 270 correct.

Expert Reply:
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # DT73RR is fairly easy to install. It will be much stronger as hitches are rated independently of the vehicle so this is more than twice as strong but your vehicle will still limit the capacity. It will work very well for a cargo carrier for the scooter on your 2020 Subaru Outback.
If you don't already have the cargo carrier, I recommend the 32x48 Reese Steel Solo Cargo Carrier and Folding Ramp for 2" Hitches - 400 lbs # PS10401-10402.
