Is Vertical Load the Same As Tongue Weight for the Front Hitch On a 2001 Ford F-250  

Question:

i have seen articles regarding the front receiver hitch. i have a 2001 ford f250 crew cab. im pulling a forest river T2850.i have a very tight storage space. ideally i would like to put a receiver hitch on the front of my truck so i may push it in. is the vertical load the same as the tongue weight? the tongue weight on my trailer is lbs. the vertical weight is listed at 500 lbs? Please advise BEst Regards

Correct, if using a front mount hitch like the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 65022 which is a fit for a 2001 Ford F-250 the vertical load will be the same as tongue weight. The front hitches are all rated for 500 lbs.
