Question:

New Carbon Pro 1500 Denali can be flat towed. I am looking to get the proper setup for flat towing, including braking set up and monitoring system. Thank you in advance.

To flat tow your GMC Sierra 1500 you'll need base plates, a tow bar, safety cables, a wiring harness, supplemental braking system and possibly a high/low adapter if the installed height of the base plate is more than 3 inches higher or lower than the receiver height of the motorhome.

For base plates, the Roadmaster # RM-523198-4 you'd looked at would be a fine choice. From what I've seen online, the weight of the Sierra 1500 Denali maxes out at around 5000 lbs, in which case the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain Towbar, part # RM-522 would work well for you. The tow bar features non binding, self centering arms which makes hooking up the car to the tow bar easy, even if you're not on a completely flat surface or the vehicle isn't lined up perfectly behind the motorhome. For safety cables, use # RM-643.

To wire the truck, I'd recommend a diode system like the # RM-15267, as well as the recommended battery quick disconnect, part # RM-766. For a braking system, I like the permanently mounted options unless you're not planning on keeping the vehicle for very long. For a motorhome with hydraulic brakes, use the Demco Stay In Play, part # SM99251 or the Air Force One for motorhomes with air brakes, part # SM99243.

I've linked to the products recommended above, as well as to available installation videos and a help article that will assist in determining if you need a high/low adapter.
