Does the Exhaust Need to be Lowered to Install a Curt Hitch on a 2009 Ford Flex
Question:
Hello, I have a 2009 ford flex front wheel drive and would like to purchase a trailer hitch to mount a cargo platform. Does this installation require any exhaust modifications lowering etc. or is it simply a bolt on application. Also, is there a factory installed wiring hook up on the flex that I simply plug into. Thanks

To install the Curt Hitch # C13110 on your 2009 Ford Flex you will not need to temporarily lower your exhaust. Check out the installation instructions I attached for this hitch to see how it installs.
For trailer wiring you would want a Tow Ready Wiring Harness # 118472. This harness installs in line with the tail light harness of your vehicle and does not require any splicing. Check out the installation instructions and installation video I attached for this product also.
