Wiring Harness Connections for Cargo Carrier

Does the wiring harness directly behind the light fixture stick out like the ROLA LED light, which may be prone to unwanted contact with items that are loaded on the carrier?

The etrailer License Plate and LED Tail Light Mounting Kit for Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier # e98943-44LED will have brackets that are flush with the carrier and the lights will stick out slightly which is common with other light kits as well. The wiring harness like you are referring to will look almost identical as well. The harness will do the same thing. If you want more clearance on the back side you would need to splice in the 90 degree connectors # A47PB which will make the interference with cargo less of an issue but may not completely solve it because the cargo carrier rails simply aren't that deep.
