Recommended Trailer Hitch for for Trailer That Can Carry 500 Lbs

Question:

Trailer has a square tube in the rear like lost to house water piping. I am looking for Reese type receiver bracket which I can bolt on to that bumper on that bumper I intend to my 2 cargo careri and carry up to 500 lbs. What do you have?

It sounds like you are wanting to install a trailer hitch on a trailer and if that is the case I have a few options. The first option which is the easiest to install is a bolt-on bumper hitch which only works if you have a square 4" x 4" rear bumper, the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver part # E-100. If you don't have a square 4" x 4" rear bumper then your only other option is a frame mount trailer hitch, the Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13701.

Please note, the bumper mount option only works for up to 350 lbs so if you need more than this but not more than 500 lbs then the frame mount option is what you need to use. There isn't a bumper mount hitch which can hold 500 lbs as the bumper won't be rated that high.
