Replacement For Shelby Jack With Weld-On Mounting Bracket

Question:

I have an older Shelby 1000 lb trailer jack, that is shot, probably not heavy enough for the load. Model #D476461, with a welded-on mount, on a 2 X 4 frame Perfomance trailer. Id like to replace it with something a bit stronger - perhaps 1200 to 1500 lbs. Are there many the would be interchangeable with my existing weld mount? Thanks

We don't have the dimensions of the weld-on mount for your Shelby jack, but it looks similar to the Jack Mounting Bracket for Fulton Marine Jack - Weld-On # P9012-00. That mounting bracket uses a 1/2" bolt with pin holes measuring 3" apart center-to-center, so you'll want to compare your bracket's measurements.

If they are the same, you can use the following:

- Fulton Bolt-Thru Swivel Marine Jack - Weld On - Sidewind - 10" Lift - 1,200 lbs # FXP10W0301

Otherwise, your best option is to either have the # P9012-00 bracket welded on and use one of the aforementioned jacks, or to use a bolt-on jack such as the Fulton Round, Snap-Ring Swivel Marine Jack - Bolt On - Sidewind - 10" Lift - 1,200 lbs # FTJ12000101.
