Class III Hitch for Carrying Bike Rack on 2012 Honda Accord
Question:
Do you have a 2 receiver hitch for a Honda Accord? I have a light duty bike rack that is 2. If the 2 receiver is not available do you have an adapter to go from 1 1/4 receiver hitch to 2 accessory? Thanks.

All the hitches we offer for your vehicle are a Class I like the Curt # C11085 that would have a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. This being said, there are several options that would allow you to carry 2 bikes on your vehicle.
Your best option would be a trunk mounted bike rack like the Thule Passage, part # TH910XT. The Passage is fully adjustable which allows the rack to fit to the vehicle at the correct angle for stability. The rack features easy to use anti-sway cradles that prevent the bikes from swaying fore and aft and striking each other or the vehicle.
You could also use an adapter like # HTAD, but keep in mind that an adapter extends the distance between the vehicle and the load which causes more leverage on the hitch and its attachment points to the vehicle. Because of this, using an adapter will lower the hitch tongue weight capacity from 200 to 100 lbs. This means that the bike rack you use and the bikes placed upon it could not weigh more than 100 lbs. Also, if an adapter is used, you'll experience more bounce in your hitch mounted accessory.
