Does 2007 Toyota Tundra with 1 inch Lift Need Spacers with Firestone Air Bags

Question:

I have a 2007 Tundra with a 3 and 1 inch Leveling kit making my lower bracket on the kit about 1.5inch out from the top of the axle. Do I have to purchase a 2inch Axle Extension Bracket and trim it down or is there a better solution? And does this bracket need to be resting on the axle? and would something like a Air Bag Cradle be a solution? Cheers

Expert Reply:

The distance you listed between your spring and axle at 1.5 inches is small enough to not need a spacer. Your bag height is 6-1/8 inches and the minimum distance needed between brackets to require the 1.5 inch spacer # F2536 is 6.5 inches. See attached picture.
