2 Bike Carrier RV Ladder Mounted Bike Rack Security and Popularity
Question:
How secure is this rack and how popular?

Expert Reply:
The Surco 2 Bike Carrier # SP501BR is very secure for transporting your bikes. The # SP501BR bike rack is designed to be easily installed and removed. It is not intended to be left on the ladder of your RV when not hauling bikes. If by secure you mean easily stolen or removed, then the rack could be locked to the RV ladder with a cable lock such as Master Lock 3 Foot Long Tuff Links Chain Lock, # 8291DPS, for security. These racks are a very popular seller and seem to be one of the best bike carrying options for many with RVs.
I have linked you to a product demonstration video featuring the Master Lock Tuff Links Chain Lock.
