How to Remove Lower Cover for Lippert Electric Trailer Jack
Question:
I need to replace my ground wires as they have become whether check and corrosion is visible in several of the cracks of wire insulation. Cant seem to figure out how to remove the bottom cover of the jack?

Expert Reply:
There should be 4 screws at the bottom of the jack and then 2 nuts/bolts that need to be removed that are located behind the rubber plugs on either side of the Lippert Electric Trailer Jack # LC285318. Once all of these are removed you should be able to remove the lower cover to get at the bad wiring. I confirmed this with my contact at Lippert.
To help protect the jack against future corrosion I recommend using a cover like the Ultra-Fab # UF38-944020. Attached is a review video for you to check out.
