A system like the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR requires that you install the Roadmaster 12V Outlet Kit # RM-9332, which connects directly to your battery to supply 12v power inside the vehicle when it is turned off- not with the key in the ACC position. There are some additional parts you would need to avoid draining your 2017 GMC Acadia's battery while it's being flat towed- the Roadmaster # RM76514 and # RM-76517. Using these two kits will not only keep your battery from draining, but they can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch so getting your vehicle ready to flat tow is a breeze.
