In order to use this lighted Ford hitch cover, you will need an adapter, product # PK12716, that will adapt your 7 Pole to a 4 Pole. This will allow you to plug the hitch cover into the 4 Pole adapter and be on your way!

I have the ford brake light cr-017F. added the 7 way adaptor to the four way on the light unit, solved the turn light out, turn signal hyper flashing although the directional lights worked normally and trailer connect, disconnect on message board, but cant get the back-up sensor and blind spot warning to work. I have the truck showing no trailer.when I put in reverse screen shows a small trailer Disconnected brake light to make sure no other issues with truck and everything works fine. Its a kool light, but im at another bump in the road

Since you're plugging into the truck's factory trailer connector, it's going to think that you've got a trailer hooked up. This is why backup sensors stop working when it's connected. I really wish their was an easy way around that, but the only real solution would be to hardwire the light to the tail light circuits on the truck (bypassing the trailer wiring).
