I have a trailer valet XL with a 2 and 5/16 ball on it. Can I just unscrew that and replace it with the 2-inch ball which I believe cost about $25 on your website.

Yes, the existing 2-5/16" hitch ball on your Trailer Valet XL Trailer Dolly # TVXL25 can simply be removed/unscrewed and replaced with the Replacement 2" Hitch Ball # TVHB2. The mounting base for the two ball sizes are the same so that can be left in place on your Trailer Valet XL.

The Trailer Valet XL Trailer Dolly with Chain Drive #TVXL2 has the 2 inch ball. If you already have the Traler Valet and just need the 2 inch ball, then you will want #TVHB2 or the base and ball #TVBB2.
