What Lengths Are Available for a 2-1/2 Inch Hitch Extender
Question:
Im looking for a Class V 2.5 inch hitch extension but I only need 18 inches hole to hole. The Curt C45048 looks perfect if I needed 24. I could use this at 24 but I prefer 18 as it will increase my trailer weight capacity and not stick out so far. If all else fail maybe Ill get this and cut it down and drill holes at 18. I will probably have to remove the loops also. Before I consider this route do you know of any that are already made for 18 inches?

The list of hitch extenders we have for a 2-1/2" trailer hitch receiver are as follows:
Curt Hitch Extension and Reducer part # C45048 (24" - 34")
Reese Hitch Extension and Reducer part # RP45292 (24" - 34")
Brophy Hitch Reducer and Extender part # HR26 (7")
That said, we do not have any options in the exact length you need of 18". I suggest using either of the 24" - 34" options and trimming down to 24" but I cannot recommend going any lower than this.
